We Want You!

Our USA magazine is full of true stories and photos sent in by readers across the country for other Americans to enjoy.  Just submit your inspired stories or fabulous photos for possible use in the magazine.

We invite you to write about your own experiences, your real life adventures, your hometown, your work, your cultural heritage, homemade specialties from your kitchen, your personal collectibles, your embarrassing or funny moments, your travels, or any other ideas that you can put into words and would like to share with your fellow Americans.

Our editorial style is relaxed.  You don't have to be a professional writer or photographer to contribute.  Just submit your story in your own words, as if you were writing to a friend.  Please limit your submission to between 500 and 1500 words.

As our way of saying thanks for sharing your story or photo, we'll offer you a complimentary one-year  subscription to Our USA magazine.
If you already have a subscription, you can pass it on to a friend, or we can simply add the new subscription on to the end of your existing one. 

Email Submissions

Email submissions must be sent as attached files, preferably in Word format. If you are sending photos exclusively, please include a caption(s) for the photo. Photos should be sent as jpg at 300 dpi. (See photo requirements page.)    Send as attached files to:

If you are sending by traditional mail:

Be sure the first page of your submission contains your name, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address, if you have one. Don't forget to write your name and address on the back of each photo, preferably with soft pencil or marker, and identify any information you have regarding who, what, where and when. Do not send original photos.  We recommend that you first have a reprint made of cherished photos before you send them.

Submissions must be unpublished original works.  The writer is responsible for any and all legal claims made against the work.

Our USA magazine reserves the right to edit or excerpt any submission, to publish or not publish any submission, entirely at their discretion. If your story is published, you will be credited with the article. You retain all rights to your submission (written content and photo) but grant Our USA magazine the right to print it in the publication, publish it on the web, or use it in promotion of the magazine.

If you would like acknowledgment for receipt of your work, or if you submit photos and would like them returned, be sure to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with the proper postage.
